Hej,
Mvh,
Mowi

Hi guys,
I was looking through the NGC census just now to check the 2001 S10Y PANDA and found something fun to discuss.
Two new variants have been designated and showed up in this census. The population for the new Panda variants was 81(for now). (Haven't checked PGCS or anywhere else)
This was new to me and I haven't seen this discussed here before either. Low census numbers also so I figured this is a fresh development for the week and worthy of a post!
One variant was named FROSTED BRANCHES, where 27 of 81 scored MS69. The other variant was named MIRRORED BRANCHES and 32 of 81 scored MS69. The remaining Pandas scored MS68, i.e. none won the lottery and scored MS70.
I guess it is the branches to the right and above of the Panda that has frosting variations now worthy of a designation. This I saw something about for the G200Y Gold Pandas in Peter Anthonys 2nd Edition of his book. Checked the book and PA designated the Gold Pandas PAN 342A and 342B on page 237 in the Chinese version I got.
I only found the Gold Pandas was discussed here when I searched CCF.

Wanted to find nice graded pics of these S10Y's to confirm my initial guess. I want to understand if this is a new population of hoarded coins which is different from the old ones or not. Like when the population of 2001 small d appeared out of nowhere.
But after some googling and a quick search on ebay I came up short.
Let's help each other and fill in the blanks here!
* Who will be the first to put up the pics of the graded ones.
* Which mint does these variants belong to for any OMP's.
* Who is the first to sell me a couple!! 001_smile
Cheers,
Mowi
